The Royal Family officially announced Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will wed on May 19. The announcement was made on Twitter:

"Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives together as a married couple," Kensington Palace press secretary Jason Knauf said Nov. 28, when they announced it as their wedding venue.

Harry and Meghan's wedding will be televised and live streamed on YouTube, Facebook, etc. I wonder how their viewership will compare to Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding in 2011? Their wedding had over 2 billion people watching from 180 countries according to the Telegraph. Their wedding was also mentioned over 2.8 billion times in status updates on Facebook in the US and the UK.

This wedding is expected to be smaller, but there is a fascination with the Royal Family aross the glob for many. In fact,  iteems that people are either fascinated by the Royal Family or they couldn't less.

Social media has grown so much since 2011, the last Royal Wedding. My prediction is that Harry and Meghan's wedding will smash Royal Wedding viewership records with all of the live streaming services on line and on social media.

Will you be tuning into the wedding in May? I know I'll be watching for work purposes and maybe some personal interest too.
