She says the LP is about healing

March 2, 2020

Just a few days after dropping a new single, Lady Gaga has announced the title and release date for her upcoming sixth studio album.

Chromatica will arrive April 10th and feature “Stupid Love,” a song RADIO.COM called “optimistic and ebullient.” Gaga told Zane Lowe the album is about healing.

“The symbol for Chromatica has a sine wave in it, which is the mathematical symbol for sound, and it’s from what all sound is made from, and, for me, sound is what healed me in my life period, and it healed me again making this record, and that is really what Chromatica is all about,” she explained.

Gaga did not unveil any other details about the new album, but Variety reports it will be available in a variety of physical formats including CD, various vinyl colors and cassette.

In the meantime, Lady Gaga’s Las Vegas residency continues on select dates through May 16th.
