Kate Middleton Makes Animal Friends During Farm Visit
Sometimes even royals need to get out to the country.
Kate Middleton recently had a hands-on experience with live animals during a visit to the Ark Open Farm in Northern Ireland, reported Good Morning America.
The purpose of the visit was to participate in the launch of her landmark survey on childhood development.
Middleton got up close and personal with several farm creatures, even bravely holding a snake.

The mother of three also helped children bottle feed a lamb and care for other cute creatures.
At one point during her visit, Middleton got friendly with an alpaca. One photo shows Kate petting the furry camelid with an overjoyed smile on her face.

But it wasn't all royal petting! The Duchess also spoke to parents and grandparents about their experiences raising children, a tie-in to her “5 Big Questions on the Under-Fives” survey released by The Royal Foundation.
The survey asks people from all across the United Kingfom about their thoughts on “raising the next generation" to "spark a national conversation on the early years that will ultimately help bring about positive, lasting change for generations to come," according to Kensington Palace.
