Help our area's Foster Kids

January 3, 2018

AAF Chattanooga is Proud to Present the 2018 Charity Drive to fill Fostering Hope Kids Closet. Every year AAF Chattanooga selects a charity to support. After being introduced to Amanda Sentez and LaDonna Ralston of Fostering Hope Kids, AAF Chattanooga selected their organization to sponsor for our 2018 public service initiative. Fostering Hope Kids Closet is a non-profit organization servicing Foster Families in the Chattanooga, Cleveland and North Georgia area. Amanda started Fostering Hope Kids Closet in her garage several years ago. As a foster parent, she realized the great need foster families have when a child is placed in their care. Foster families often need the basic necessities to ensure their foster children have what they need to succeed. Those items include, but are not limited to, shoes, diapers, clothes, formula, car seats, duffel bags, back packs, cribs and so much more. Amanda began collecting items and opening up her garage for families to “shop” for their kids absolutely free. Due to the overwhelming need, the closet expanded to Hwy 58 in a building offered by Amanda’s church. With the expansion, came even more families. Without Fostering Hope Kids Closet, thousands of children would not have what they need to live more normal lives. During the month of January, join AAF Chattanooga in supporting the wonderful foster children of our area. Monetary donations, as well as items for the closet, will be collected throughout the month. Please attend one of our many events, donate at one of many donation locations, donate online or contact Committee Chair Leilah Parks at to arrange pick up of your donation. Special thanks to our media partners for helping AAF Chattanooga make the 2018 Charity Drive to fill Fostering Hope Kids Closet a tremendous succes!
